Meet The Team

Dr Peer Nelz was born in Berlin and after military service and an apprenticeship as a carpenter, he decided to become a Dentist. He graduated as Dentist from the Humboldt-University of Berlin in 1994.  During his study of dentistry, he started a PhD (Doctorate) in the University of Pharmacology and Toxicology. In 1997 he gained his Dr. med. dent. in a public dissertation with “Summa cum laude”.

During his 2 years as Assistant in various dental clinics, he started training in special areas of dentistry such as orthodontics (teeth straightening and implantology).

In various dental clinics, he treated numerous patients with severely neglected teeth many of whom required complete restoration of their mouth, often under general anaesthesia.

In his own practice (as a partner in a dental clinic) he started placing implants in 1997.  In 2004 he moved to Cornwall and worked for the NHS in Liskeard until 2007 when he set up Atlantic Dental in Newquay. As he was unable to secure an NHS contract (despite promises and assurances) he set up a purely private practice. Within a few weeks, the practice was very busy mainly because of very low fees and excellent equipment, materials and service.

Due to focus on high-quality service, the practice is still very busy and probably the most affordable implant clinic in Cornwall.

Kirsteen Warner is the Practice Manager and most likely your first contact. She is very friendly and will go out of her way to make your visit as pleasant as possible:)!

Maria- Dental Nurse. Marie is a graduated Dentist (Venezuela) and has recently finished her UK Dental Nurse exam (Awaiting GDC registration).
Maria plays competitive Tennis .and visits the Gym often
